Love is everywhere. Find it. Share it.
Found Love is a free photo sharing mobile application and web platform designed to give people a very public way to express their collective voice for social revolution.
In the corresponding film, Occupy Love (OccupyLove.org), filmmaker Velcrow Ripper explores what he calls a “revolution of the heart,” a global desire for justice and interconnection evidenced by the Occupy Movement, Arab Spring, and European Summer. The app extends this theme, allowing users to become “love collectors” finding and tagging images of hearts from around the world.
Users can take a photo of a heart-shaped image they find, add a message, and then tag an expression of love to the photo. Heart images can be found anywhere—shapes in clouds, graffiti hearts, or inspiring messages left in public places. Found Love then shares photos on a “Love Stream,” a real-time and fluctuating digital wall of hearts that is both viewable through the mobile app and at FoundLove.com.
The FOUND LOVE project taps into people’s creative side and becomes a meaningful real-time exercise in joint collaboration.
Once users have tapped into this experience, their behavior may also shift: they will begin to see hearts everywhere they walk, collecting, creating and sharing.
Together, people from all over the world will create the largest collection of hearts and create a vast expression of universal love.
